PETALING JAYA: Koong Woh Tong clarifies that neither former Director-General of Health Tan Sri Noor Hisham Abdullah nor any prominent public figure has been a spokesperson for its products.

The company also says its products are totally unrelated to them, and has removed relevant newspaper clippings and articles from its branches.

Koong Woh Tong clarified in a statement today that Noor Hisham was not a spokesperson for its products, and that the products had nothing to do with him or any other prominent public figure.

The company also said it had never intended to abuse the name or photos of any individual for marketing purposes, insisting that it had never attempted to confuse or mislead the public into believing that Noor Hisham was a spokesperson for its products.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Noor Hisham accused Koong Woh Tong of using his name and photos “to cheat the public”, vowing to take the company to court.

Meanwhile, TCM practitioner Dr. Teh Lai Kuan, who is also Assistant Professor at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), accused that her photos and medical articles were also abused by Koong Woh Tong.
