KUALA SELANGOR: Former Umno Youth chairman Khairy Jamaluddin showed up yesterday at the campaign event of Perikatan Nasional’s candidate for Jeram Harrison Hassan at Puncak Alam.

Harrison shared the pictures he took with Khairy during the campaign trail on his Facebook.

Khairy said in a video that he had known Harrison for more than 20 years.

“We joined Umno together. He was the Umno Youth secretary while I was Youth exco.

“I have contested the elections three times but he has not. We are both almost 50 now, and I believe this is the right time for him to contest.

“Harrison is a pragmatic man who will not make empty promises and will instantly solve the problems of the voters.”

Formerly Umno’s Sungai Buloh deputy chairman, Harrison was sacked by Umno after he was fielded by PN in Jeram.

He will confront Umno’s Jahaya Ibrahim in the election.
