KLANG: Although PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang has pledged to treat non-Muslims in Penang fairly if Perikatan Nasional gets to win the state election, DAP senior leader and incumbent Selangor state executive councilor Datuk Teng Chang Khim feels that Gerakan Rakyat should quit the PN coalition after its president Datuk Dominic Lau was humiliated by PAS during the campaign period.
“Humiliated! God has opened up another door for Gerakan to leave the PN in order to salvage its last remaining bit of dignity. Don’t miss this opportunity. Pick up your self esteem and start all over again!” Teng wrote on his Facebook.
Dominic Lau was humiliated when he was told to leave a PAS ceramah in Sungai Dua, Seberang Perai Utara, earlier this week.
“The instance of the Gerakan president being bullied, humiliated and sidelined reflects the way PAS is going to treat the state’s non-Malays if the party gets to rule Penang. It won’t be fair and equal as Hadi has said,” he wrote in another post.
