KULIM: Parti Amanah Negara deputy president Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub said Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will likely be sworn in as the country’s 10th prime minister after the Conference of Rulers special meeting later today.
According to a report by Free Malaysia Today, Salahuddin said yesterday while Pakatan Harapan announced its candidate for the Padang Serai parliamentary election that His Majesty had decreed a unity government which PH had accepted but Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had turned down, and this showed the latter’s arrogance.
“His Majesty will very likely make an announcement this afternoon after the Conference of Rulers meeting. The new prime minister will be sworn in either tonight or latest by tomorrow morning.”
Salahuddin said the PH leadership was still working hard to make sure Anwar could be appointed as Malaysia’s next prime minister.
