IPOH: Dewan Negara Perak member Mohd Annuar Zaini said the Sultan of Perak was happy with the numbers presented by Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan.

Both the coalitions have proposed only one name for the Perak menteri besar candidate, namely Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, who will be sworn in before Sultan Nazrin Shah at 5.30 p.m. today.

Both BN and PH have a combined 33 seats in the Perak state assembly, including nine from BN and 24 from PH.

Meanwhile, when asked by the Sultan whether they had enough seats to form the new state government, the 26-seat Perikatan Nasional admitted they did not.
