KUALA LUMPUR: In response to the remark by Barisan Nasional’s candidate for Sungai Buloh Khairy Jamaluddin that Umno could work with any alliance to form a joint government, including Pakatan Harapan, Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek said the party was persistent in its position not to cooperate with “Anwar Ibrahim, Bersatu and DAP.”

Ahmad Shabery, who is also BN’s communication director, said Umno had made a decision in its general assembly not to work with Anwar, Bersatu and DAP, and no one could change this decision.
