PETALING JAYA: The special select committee will hold its first meeting on Friday to review and study three tasks, including the much anticipated anti-hopping bill.
A member of the committee, Umno’s Member of Parliament for Padang Rengas Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz confirmed with Sin Chew Daily that he had received the invitation from the Secretariat of Parliament to attend the meeting, which will be held at 9.00am tomorrow.
“Tomorrow’s meeting will be the first one. I will listen to the minister’s (Wan Junaidi) briefing.
“I’ll just be the listener first!”
Nazri nevertheless said he did not know whether there would be regular meetings after tomorrow, or whether the work could be completed in one month’s time.
The special select committee comprises 11 members: six from the ruling coalition and five from the opposition.
