KUALA LUMPUR: A source told Sin Chew Daily the Dewan Rakyat will not vote on the amendment to the Federal Constitution Article 10(3) after the debate today.
The amendment, along with the anti-hopping bill, will only be adopted in another special parliamentary sitting before the end of next month.
The amendment to the Federal Constitution Article 10(3), the only agenda in today’s special sitting, was supposed to be tabled, debated and adopted today.
The source said after today’s debate, the constitutional amendment will be handed to a special select committee which will complete its study on the amendment and the anti-hopping bill in about one month’s time.
“No voting today!”
Another special parliamentary sitting will be held before the end of May to pass the amendment and the anti-hopping bill.
