KOTA BHARU, Aug 19 (Sin Chew Daily) – Umno veteran and Member of Parliament for Gua Musang Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah offered himself as candidate for the country's ninth prime minister.

His political secretary Mohd Lokman Ghani told Sin Chew Daily in a telephone interview that Ku Li did not nominate Umno vice president Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob as prime minister candidate and was therefore not summoned to the Palace today.

"Ku Li nominated himself (as PM candidate) and did not nominate Ismail Sabri."
