Hsieh’s manager, known as Chris, confirmed that Hsieh’s family had engaged a local lawyer to follow up with the case.

Hsieh, 31,known as “Nurse Goddess”, was found dead in a bathtub inside the hotel room on Oct 22.

The police had reclassified the case as murder and sought Wee, who was the last person with Hsieh.

Wee claimed that Hsieh and him were working together on a video project and had discussions in the hotel room throughout the night.

Hsieh later went into the bathroom to shower but failed to come out after half an hour.

Feeling uneasy, he entered the bathroom and discovered her lifeless body in the tub.

He attempted CPR on the spot but was unable to revive her.

When police searched the scene, they reportedly found drugs in the hotel room, where Wee was taken to police station for urine testing.

Wee’s urine test results showed positive reactions for four types of drugs — amphetamine, methamphetamine, ketamine, and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Wee was charged with drug abuse and drug possession under Dangerous Drugs Act in a magistrate’s court on Oct 24.

Wee claimed trial and the magistrate’s court had fixed Dec 18 for mention.
