KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 (Sin Chew Daily) – Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi decided in yesterday's emergency meeting to propose to His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong three prime minister candidates.

The three candidates are Member of Parliament for Gua Musang Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, former party president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Ahmad Zahid himself.

A source said there were four names initially, but vice president Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob's name was removed last minute.

"Ismail Sabri met Bersatu's secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin without the party's mandate."

The source said Umno's PM candidates had to be decided by party president and the supreme council, not Ismail Sabri.
