PUTRAJAYA, Mar 8 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 1,529  new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including nine imported cases.

Selangor reported 726 new cases, followed by Sarawak (252) and Johor (120).

To date there are a cumulative total of 314,989 confirmed cases and 294,034 recoveries (including 2,076 discharged today) at 93.35% recovery rate.

Eight new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 1,177.

There are currently 19,778 active cases, including 160 at ICUs, 79 requiring ventilators.
