“It’s time to be active. I have thought for a long time before deciding to join politics,” he said.
Dzulkifli said he would continue to assist locals in Tasek Gelugor.
Through his office and as an ordinary citizen, he has organized various people-friendly activities to help locals of all races and religious backgrounds.
“I am an ordinary Umno member now. Prior to joining Umno, I do not have agreement with anyone,’’ he said.
Dzulkifli said he decides to join Umno as it is the political party which has led the nation in defending the rights and privileges of the Malays.
He intends to inject new energy into the party as Umno needs to regain its position as the “umbrella” protecting the Malays and Malaysians, he said.
