PETALING JAYA, May 11 (Sin Chew Daily) – Pro-Mahathir PPBM secretary-general Datuk Marzuki Yahya said party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has no right to convene a supreme council meeting, which according to the party's constitution is a prerogative of party chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
"Normally the supreme council meeting can only be called by the chairman, not the president. The chairman is still the top leader of the party.
"It is very weird to have a meeting without the chairman. Such a meeting will not be recognized. They can't even make any decision!"
During a telephone interview with Sin Chew Daily, Marzuki said the decision to quit Pakatan Harapan was not recognized because Muhyiddin made the decision in a meeting not chaired by Mahathir.
