PUTRAJAYA: The Election Commission (EC) Chairman Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun announced today that nomination for the by-election for Mahkota state assembly seat in Johor will be held on September 14 (Saturday), while polling is on September 28 (Saturday), for a campaign period of 14 days.

He also said the by-election would cost RM2.4 million.

The state seat was vacated after Umno’s assemblyman Datuk Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain passed away on August 2.
