PUTRAJAYA: Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad will host a special press conference at 4.00 p.m. this afternoon at the health ministry in response to the worsening situation of Covid-19 in this country.

There has been a worrying trend in the number of new Covid-19 cases in the country of late, reaching 20,696 cases last week, with 28 deaths reported, 588 hospitalisations, and 22 treated at ICUs.

Dzulkefly has earlier said the government could reinstate mandatory masking if necessary.
