KOTA BHARU: Former Member of Parliament for Ketereh Tan Sri Annuar Musa said many Umno leaders and members would follow his footsteps to quit the party soon.

He also said he would release the list of first batch of Umno leaders and members this Friday in a media conference that will also be attended by PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.

“We will make an important announcement. Many party leaders and members, even former sec-gen and state excos will announce their resignation.

“Umno is facing a very serious crisis. Some of the divisions may have to shut down.

“Although some divisional leaders may not openly quit the party (Umno), their say in private they will support me and PN.

“Umno is in a confidence crisis because some of its leaders have committed many serious mistakes and make too many lies such that the members have lost their confidence in the party.”
