SEREMBAN: PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man warmed that if Umno is given more power, it will betray its allies.

Citing the instances of Umno withdrawing its support for former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Perak former menteri besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, Tuan Ibrahim said Umno betrayed its allies after the party gained back the power.

“If you have noticed, you will realize that when Umno thinks it is getting strong enough, it will turn against its allies.

“In Perak, they withdrew their support for Ahmad Faizal and install their own people as MB.

“In the federal government, they withdrew their support for Muhyiddin.

“We worked together in the cabinet and faced the troubles together, but when the situation improved a little, 15 of them withdrew their support.”
