PETALING JAYA: Istana Negara will not entertain any claim that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has lost majority support in Parliament.
Free Malaysia Today reported quoting a source that an abrupt change in government was unlikely, and any attempt to change the government through the Palace “won’t happen.”
The source said, “If there is to be a change in government, it must be done either through a vote of no confidence or the dissolution of Parliament.”
It was reported that ten MPs who previously backed Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin after the 15th general election were planning to force by-elections in order to topple the Anwar administration.
Bersatu supreme council member Faiz Na’aman earlier posted on Facebook: “Already 126 … if it’s true, thank God.”
