PETALING JAYA: Umno supreme council member Datuk Dr. Mohd Puad Zarkashi said the party’s supreme council would meet tonight that it would “continue to support the unity government and act as checks and balances. No compromise.”

He wrote on Facebook that this would be the first Umno supreme council meeting after the party’s president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, vice president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, supreme council member Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, Barisan Nasional secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir and Selangor BN treasurer Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz have joined the unity cabinet of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
