SEREMBAN: The incumbent Member of Parliament for Rembau Khairy Jamaluddin will likely run in Kuala Pilah this time.
According to a reliable source, Khairy will very likely remain in Negeri Sembilan in the coming general election, and the three most likely seats he will contest are Port Dickson, Tampin and Kuala Pilah.
However, the source said due to changes in the political environment today, Khairy’s chance of being fielded in Port Dickson is slim.
With the nomination day drawing near, it appears that Khairy will most probably be fielded in Kuala Pilah.
In the 2018 general election, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s Eddin Syazlee Shith won the Kuala Pilah parliamentary seat with a razon-thin majority of just 200 votes.
It is believed that Umno can recapture the seat without much difficulty if Khairy is fielded there.
