KUALA LUMPUR: Sin Chew Daily learns that the upcoming 15th general election will be using the supplementary electoral roll of August 2022 that will put the total number of eligible voters to 21.1 million.

The August supplementary electoral roll was already gazetted on September 15 and will be available for public reviewing until October 14.

The electoral roll includes 43,508 new voters aged 18 and above automatically registered between August 1 and 31, as well as 19,868 voters who have changed their constituencies.

The election commission (SPR) will announce later today when it will meet to decide on the election day.
