SHAH ALAM: Prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob confirmed that he would have an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Thursday.

However, he declined to comment whether he would propose to His Majesty to dissolve the parliament this week.

He instead said he would customarily have an audience with the King before a cabinet meeting.

The cabinet will meet on Friday during the current parliamentary session. The 2023 Budget will also be tabled in Parliament this Friday.

Sin Chew Daily has earlier reported that the prime minister would have an audience with the King this Thursday to seek His Majesty’s advice on dissolving the parliament.
