JOHOR BAHRU: Malaysians working in Singapore finally get to go home after two years!

Some even sang the national anthem Negaraku to express their love for the country as they waited for the reopening of the Causeway to head home past midnight on Friday.

Many have waited for the arrival of 1 April as Malaysia reopens its doors.

Anxious crowds started to grow at the checkpoint before midnight as Malaysians were eager to come home as soon as possible.

Visuals circulated on social media show the crowd waiting to cross the Causeway on foot after passing the Singapore checkpoint.

Someone joked that Malaysians should sing Negaraku each time they step foot on the home country again.
