RAUB, Oct 24 (Sin Chew Daily) — A patron has just settled an outstanding sum for his purchase 40 years ago with interests paid to the attire shop.

Liu Bao Hua, owner of Jin Fa attire shop in Raub, shared on his Facebook that a Malay patron who bought clothes at his shop at Sungai Ruan new village were unable to pay in full 40 years ago.

The patron later relocated to Kuala Lumpur while Liu’s shop was burnt down.

Liu has forgotten about the outstanding sum owed to him.

He does not expect the patron to settle the outstanding balance with interests by getting a friend to pay him back RM502.

Liu recently closed the shop at Sungai Ruan new village but the patron got a friend to pay him at his other shop in Raub.

The patron was unable to pay Liu personally as he had difficulty in walking.

Liu is happy that the patron still remembers to settle the outstanding balance.

He has since donated the sum to Caring Service Center in Raub as activity fund to help the needy.
