GENTING HIGHLANDS, Oct 4 (Sin Chew Daily) — Resorts World Genting has reopened but for the locals in Pahang only.

Pahang locals are the ones visiting the casinos and resort in Resorts World Genting.

Resorts World Genting, which has been shut down for four months, is now opening up gradually starting September 30.

Hotels, casinos, restaurants, shopping malls and others are open.

More facilities and outlets will be open once Malaysians are allowed to travel to other states.

Resorts World Genting is currently open to those who have completed two doses of vaccination.

Visitors are required to wear masks at all time except when dining in.

For those who are staying overnight in Genting Highlands, they are required to book for hotel accommodation online. Children under 18 are required to be accompanied by their parents or family members who have completed two doses of vaccination.

The casinos and entertainment outlets in Genting are open from 8am to 12 midnight for patrons who have been fully vaccinated. They are required to put on face masks and scan MySejahtera app.

For outdoor activities, only golf is currently allowed at Resorts World Awana.

Genting Malaysia Bhd also announced that the brand new outdoor theme park – Genting Skyworlds will open by the end of the year.

Resorts World Genting has been shut down since June 1 due to the worsening pandemic.

The popular resort on Genting Highlands has now reopened after the federal government announced that Pahang entered the third phase of National Recovery Plan in late September.

Resorts World Genting is offering free parking now until further notice.

To ensure safety, all staff of Resorts World Genting, including 3,196 of them at the casinos, have been fully vaccinated. They are required to undergo mandatory health checks, put on face masks and gloves and use sanitizers regularly.

All the lifts and escalators are equipped with automatic sanitization.
