PUTRAJAYA, July 2 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 6,982 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including three imported cases.

Selangor reported 2,907 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (637), Negeri Sembilan (606), Johor (517), Sarawak (440), Penang (351), Pahang (329), Kedah (257), Sabah (230), Melaka (202), Perak (182), Labuan (131) and Kelantan (129).

To date there are a cumulative total of 765,949 confirmed cases and 694,538 recoveries (including 6,278 discharged today) at 90.67% recovery rate.

73 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to  5,327.

There are currently 66,084 active cases, including 905 at ICUs, 443 requiring ventilators.
