PUTRAJAYA, June 25 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 5,812 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 32 imported cases.

Selangor reported 2,187 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (771), Sarawak (673), Negeri Sembilan (658), Penang (270), Melaka (223), Johor (196), Kedah (186), Sabah (156), Pahang (139) and Labuan (123).

To date there are a cumulative total of 722,659 confirmed cases and 657,739 recoveries (including 6,775 discharged today) at 91.02% recovery rate.

82 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 4,803.

There are currently 60,117 active cases, including 870 at ICUs, 433 requiring ventilators.
