PUTRAJAYA, June 14 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 4,949 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including six imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,523 new cases, followed by Sarawak (744), Kuala Lumpur (503), Johor (430), Negeri Sembilan (323), Sabah (273), Kelantan (214), Penang (214), Kedah (199), Perak (136), Melaka (119) and Labuan (113).

To date there are a cumulative total of 662,457 confirmed cases and 586,864 recoveries (including 6,588 discharged today) at 88.59% recovery rate.

60 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 3,968.

There are currently 71,625 active cases, including 921 at ICUs, 459 requiring ventilators.
