PUTRAJAYA, June 11 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 6,849 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including four imported cases.

Selangor reported 2,558 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (884), Sarawak (699), Negeri Sembilan (685), Johor (426), Sabah (309), Kelantan (248), Penang (205), Labuan (176), Melaka (170), Kedah (161) and Perak (161).

To date there are a cumulative total of 646,411 confirmed cases and 563,779 recoveries (including 7,749 discharged today) at 87.22% recovery rate.

84 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 3,768.

There are currently 78,864 active cases, including 912 at ICUs, 458 requiring ventilators.
