PUTRAJAYA, May 6 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 3,551 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 16 imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,137 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (477), Sarawak (391), Kelantan (326), Penang (305), Johor (258), Perak (137) and Kedah (112).

To date there are a cumulative total of 427,927 confirmed cases and 392,555 recoveries (including 2,709 discharged today) at 91.73% recovery rate.

19 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 1,610.

There are currently 33,762 active cases, including 354 at ICUs, 199 requiring ventilators.
