PUTRAJAYA, Jan 19 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 3,631 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including seven imported cases.

Selangor reported 1,199 new cases, followed by Sabah (526), Kuala Lumpur (521), Johor (368), Sarawak (156), Negeri Sembilan (139), Perak (135), Kelantan (133), Penang (124), Melaka (122) and Kedah (114).

To date there are a cumulative total of 165,371 confirmed cases and 125,288 recoveries (including 2,944 discharged today) at 75.8% recovery rate.

14 new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 619.

There are currently 39,464 active cases, including 238 at ICUs, 96 requiring ventilators.
