PUTRAJAYA, Jan 18 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 3,306 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including seven imported cases.

11 states recorded more than 100 cases each, with Selangor topping the list at 1,213 new cases, followed by Sabah (432), Johor (329), Kuala Lumpur (250), Melaka (156), Kelantan (150), Penang (145), Kedah (142), Negeri Sembilan (126), Perak (114) and Sarawak (100).

To date there are a cumulative total of 161,740 confirmed cases and 122,344 recoveries (including 2,293 discharged today) at 75.7% recovery rate.

Four new deaths were reported today, taking the toll to 605.

There are currently 38,791 active cases, including 226 at ICUs, 94 requiring ventilators.
