PUTRAJAYA, Oct 25 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 823 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, all locally transmitted.

Sabah reported the highest number of new cases at 533, followed by Penang (97), Selangor (88), Labuan (26), Negeri Sembilan (22) and Johor (15).

To date there are a cumulative total of 26,565 confirmed cases and 17,134 recoveries (including 579 discharged today) at 64.50% recovery rate.

Eight new deaths have been reported, taking the toll to 229.

There are currently 9,202 active cases, including 99 at ICUs, 30 requiring ventilators.
