PUTRAJAYA, July 30 (Sin Chew Daily) – Eight new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including three imported and five locally transmitted cases.

Of the five locally transmitted cases reported today, three were in Sabah while one each in Kuala Lumpur and Johor, all involving Malaysian citizens.

To date there are a cumulative total of 8,964 confirmed cases and 8,617 recoveries (including five discharged today) at 96.13% recovery rate.

No new death has been reported.

There are currently 223 active cases, three at ICUs, one requiring a ventilator.
