PUTRAJAYA, July 28 (Sin Chew Daily) – A total of 39 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country as of noon today, including 11 imported and 28 locally transmitted cases.

Of the 28 locally transmitted cases, 22 involved Malaysians and six, foreigners. Most of the cases were in Sarawak (21), followed by five in Kedah and two in Sabah.

To date there are a cumulative total of 8,943 confirmed cases and 8,607 recoveries (including six discharged today) at 96.24% recovery rate.

No new death has been reported.

There are currently 212 active cases, one at ICU requiring a ventilator.
