PETALING JAYA: The father of a 22-year-old Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) student who plunged to her death said he is willing to forgive her three course mates who allegedly bullied her.

“If they apologize to me personally, I will forgive them. I may scold them to let them know bullying others is not good. They are also daughters of other parents,’’ said Ho in an interview with Sin Chew Daily.

“If my daughter has been nasty, I also hope they will forgive her,’’ he said.

Ho wants justice for his daughter, saying that those accountable should face the music.

He hopes the police will carry out an in-depth investigation on the allegation of bullying, he said.

“I do not want to see another round of cyberbullying on social media because of my daughter’s case.

“Let the police investigate while netizens or members of public should not embark on cyberbullying on social media,’’ he said.

Ho said the daughter’s death served as a wake up call for all to stop bullying. 

Ho Eun Ni, a 22-year-old female student of Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology fell from 22nd floor in Block B at 6.30am on Aug 20.

Ho’s wife lodged a police report alleging that the daughter, a third year student of public relations who is graduating end of the year, could have been a victim of bully after she fell to her death.

Ho said the daughter and three other classmates were in the same group for a project and she had been verbally abused of not doing a good job for several months.

Ho said the daughter had confided in her sisters.

Police looked into the allegation of bullying in this case and said the investigation would be carried out under Section 507B of the Penal Code.
