(Kota Bharu) Her house is flooded but the Chinese primary school teacher is still teaching from home.

Chua Kim Li is seen conducting an online class in the flood water when her house is flooded.

“The ground floor of the house is flooded but this is a two-storey house. I manage to conduct online class as electricity is not cut off,” she said.

Chua , from Padang Rokma, Wakaf Baru , said outside her house, the flood water had reached an adult’s waist while flood water reached her knee at home.

She was conducting an online class at the upper floor of the house and decided to pose for a photo of her in online class at the downstairs.

Her school, Chung Hwa Chinese primary school has switched to online class due to flood in Kelantan.

Jue Pei Ling, headmistress of Chung Hwa Chinese Primary School , said 16 of 65 teachers in the school were unable to be in school due to some parts of road leading to the school are under water.

Instead of cancelling classes, the teachers opted to remote learning mode where they taught from home.

“I m delighted that some dedicated teachers who are conducting online classes from home although their homes are flooded,” she said.

The classrooms are equipped with computers for smart learning so online class can be conducted.

The school received directive from Kota Bharu district education office to end classes early at 11am on Thursday due to the flood.
