KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional (PN) election director Datuk Seri Muhammd Sanusi Md Nor’s claim to have enough support in signed statutory declarations (SDs) to topple the Anwar government has been dismissed by members of parliament from PAS and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia.
PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man denied PN secure enough support to topple the Unity Government, and he did not sign any document.
He told Sin Chew Daily that he had never seen nor heard of the SDs to overturn the Unity Government.
“Sanusi is always like this. I have never seen such document,” he said.
Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal, who is also Bersatu’s Youth chief, also denied that SDs were signed.
On Sanusi’s claim, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal simply said, “Nothing to say!”
In an interview with Utusan Malaysia, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal said PN MPs did not sign SDs or collect SDs to topple the Unity Government.
He said the government led by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim received strong support, including five members of parliament from Bersatu.
