KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Supreme Council Member Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan confirmed that Supreme Council Member Datuk Isham Jalil had been sacked from the party and was no longer an Umno member.

According to a source attending the Umno Supreme Council meeting last night, Isham, who has been vocal against Umno’s move to cooperate with DAP, has been sacked from the party, and the news is now confirmed by Ahmad Maslan.

Prior to that, Umno President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had requested that Isham, who had been absent from the party’s Supreme Council meetings for three times, to attend last night’s meeting.

Meanwhile, Isham revealed that he had yet to receive any termination letter from Umno.

However, he admitted that he was kicked out of the Umno Supreme Council WhatsApp group last night.

“I have not received any letter, but I know they kicked me out of the Supreme Council WhatsApp group last night.”
