KOTA BHARU: Following the footsteps of Gua Musang Member of Parliament, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s Member of Parliament for Jeli, Zahari Kechik, has also announced support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim until the next general election.

He said he had done so after considering the well-being of his constituents, the rising cost of living they face, as well as the development of his constituency.

Zahari is the fourth MP from Bersatu to have pledged support for the prime minister.

He nevertheless insisted that he remained loyal to his party and would support the Unity Government led by the prime minister without having to quit his party.

He also said he had not been coerced, influenced or pressured by any party but had made the decision out of his free will for the interest of the people.
