IPOH: DAP Vice President Nga Kor Ming said he had always been consistent in his position to respect any decision made by the court.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was today granted by the High Court a discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) on the 47 charges of criminal breach of trust, corruption and money laundering in connection with Yayasan Akalbudi funds.
Nga, who is also the Minister of Local Government Development, told Sin Chew Daily he also respected the court’s verdict when Perikatan Nasional Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was acquitted earlier of corruption charges amounting to RM400 million.
“It is now proven that the country’s judiciary is operating independently in the absence of government intervention.”
