Penang Gerakan chief: Gobind to be CM, LGE deputy
PENANG: Penang Gerakan Rakyat Chairman Oh Tong Keong said it is almost certain that Chow Kon Yeow will not be the next Penang chief minister, but may instead be appointed deputy finance minister, citing a “reliable source” made available to him.
Oh said Lim Guan Eng would be the deputy chief minister, assisting Gobind Singh Deo who will be transferred to Penang from Selangor.
He said in a statement that deputy finance minister Steven Sim Chee Keong will contest the state election and be appointed a state executive councilor.
