PUTRAJAYA: Education minister Fadhlina Sidek announced that all schools nationwide will enjoy a special holiday on April 19 (Wednesday).

The ministry has earlier decided that April 20 will be a school holiday.

However, as Hari Raya could fall on April 21 this year, the National Union of the Teaching Profession (MUTP) and others have urged the education ministry to give teachers an additional day off on April 19 to celebrate Hari Raya Puasa.
