ALOR SETAR: Kedah menteri besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor confirmed that he had been barred from taking part in any event organized by the federal government, including the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace (LIMA) exhibition.

He wrote on Facebook: The latest decision by the cabinet of the 10th Prime Minister: to bar the Kedah menteri besar from all federal government events, including LIMA.

It is believed that the ban has something to do with the removal of “Malaysia Madani” billboard, which has been approved by Alor Setar City Council.

Sanusi’s Facebook post has drawn heated comments from social media users, most of whom supporting the menteri besar, saying it is “very unusual” for a visiting guest to send away the owner of the house.
