Bersatu confirms bank accounts frozen by MACC
PETALING JAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia supreme council member Datuk Razali Idris confirmed with Sin Chew Daily today that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) had frozen the party’s bank accounts.
On the alleged misappropriation of RM600 billion funds by the previous Perikatan Nasional administration, MACC’s preliminary investigations showed that the total allocations were estimated at RM530 billion, of which RM92.5 billion involved government funds while the remaining RM437.5 billion were from non-government sources.
As such, MACC’s investigations would now focus on the RM92.5 billion government funds.
