KUALA LUMPUR: Umno’s Sembrong divisional chairman Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said if the general assembly decides to open the top two party posts for contest, he is prepared to contest.

He told the media during the afternoon break of the Umno general assembly, “We must wait for the general assembly to decide. If they decide to open these posts, I will consider running in the coming party election.”

As for which post to contest, Hishammuddin said, “Let’s see whether these posts are open for contest first!”
