Penang PH could lose 6 or 7 state seats, says CM Chow
PENANG: Penang chief minister Chow Kon Yeow said based on the results of the recent parliamentary election, Penang Pakatan Harapan could lose six or seven state assembly seats in the coming state election.
He said although PH could continue to helm the state government, the administration would no longer be that stable.
He urged all the allies, including elected parliamentary, state representatives, municipal councillors, village chiefs, party leaders and supporters to start work from next January to defend the Penang state government.
PH won 37 of the 40 state assembly seats in the 2018 election, but has been left with only 33 after the Sheraton Move.
