KULIM: According to a Padang Serai parliamentary seat voter who checked his latest status at the Election Commission’s website, he was informed that the election for the seat had been postponed (ditangguhkan) because of the death of a candidate.

The voter told Sin Chew Daily he learned about this only after checking his voter status on the EC’s website.

After the death of Pakatan Harapan’s candidate for Padang Serai Karupaiya Mutusami yesterday, the EC has decided to hold a special meeting on Friday to discuss new nomination and polling dates for the constituency.
