Ong Tee Keat welcome to contest in Pandan, says Rafizi

PETALING JAYA: Rafizi Ramli welcomes former MCA president and Pandan MP Tan Sri Ong Tee Keat, to contest in Pandan, saying competition can be a driving force as well as striking a balance.

Even if there is a multi-cornered fight in Pandan, Rafizi said he was confident the battle would not pose a serious threat to Pakatan Harapan or Parti Keadilan Rakyat as “dangerous seat.”

“I feel that it will not affect the final outcome although I predict we may not be winning big like before,” the PKR deputy president said.

Rafizi was the member of parliament for Pandan from 2013 to 2018.
He did not run in 2018 election following his conviction by a sessions court for exposing bank account details related to National Feedlot Corporation under the Banking and Financial Institutions Act.

Rafizi later won the appeal against the conviction.
